Jill Monley: “Historical Textile Art Forms from Around the World” Following her retirement in 2003, Jill was able to return to her love of fabric and sewing by becoming an avid quilter during her personal time. In 2017 she served as Artist in Residence at Empty Spools, a series of quilt related seminars/workshops held at the Asilomar Conference Grounds in Pacific Grove California. In 2020 – 2021 Jill had the opportunity to travel the world visiting 36 countries. Like many quilters who are always on the lookout for creative ideas, she was intrigued by the different textile art forms she observed during her year-long journey. Come enjoy Jill’s visual slide presentation about these art forms and perhaps find a design idea for your next quilt.
